The Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter helps you automatically repair issues when you're blocked from installing or removing programs. It also fixes corrupted registry keys. First, you'll need to download the troubleshooter. Download troubleshooter. If you see the File Download box when you start downloading, select Run or Open.

Open any Office 2016 application and click File > Options > Add-ins. Select COM Add-ins next to Manage and click Go. In the list of available add-ins, find the Acrobat PDFMaker COM Add-in and check if it's enabled. If it is, uncheck the box to disable it. Close and reopen the Office 2016 application.

To add or edit text in a PDF that was made in an Office program like Excel or Publisher, start with the original Office file. Open that file in your Office program, make your changes, and then save the file in PDF format again.

Click File > Options > Add-ins > Manage: COM Add-ins (at the bottom) > Go. Do one of the following: If the check box for Adobe PDF is clear, select it, and click OK. If the check box for Adobe PDF is already selected, clear it, close the program, and then re-open it. Follow the path in step one, and then select the check box for Adobe PDF.

To open PDF files, click Open > Open in browser. The PDF file will open up in Edge. From the Overview page, select Office apps and on that page, find the Microsoft 365 product you want to install and select Install. To install Microsoft 365 in a different language, or to install the 64-bit version, use the dropdown to find more options. Choose the language and bit version you want, and then select Install.

If installation doesn't start automatically, browse the disc to find the program setup file, usually called Setup.exe or Install.exe. Open the file to start installation. Insert the disc into your PC, and then follow the instructions on your screen.
